At home, a moment ago, I almost panicked when my SDHC card reader literally came apart in pieces. I had taken some photos of flowers in my front yard earlier. No more pictures for the blog for at least a week while another one was ordered. Thankfully, I managed to get it back together with some ingenuity and super glue. I was overjoyed when I plugged it in a USB port and it prompted me to download two photos. Whew! That was one of those hold your breath that it works kind of situations.
I had one of those time travel kind of sleeps last night – the sleep of the dead. I got in the bed, lay down my head, and the next thing I knew it is Monday morning with the sun shining through my windows. I put on some shorts, socks and shoes and preceded to get breakfast started with a running start. Sadly, Maggie’s walk will have to wait until this afternoon as I ran out of time. She was pretty content to get the home cooked meal it seems. She didn’t protest too much. I didn't dare touch her leash within earshot or the awakening of that abominable sleeping giant would ensue.
More Reciprocal Meals on Wheels…
Charlie called me late yesterday. The shadows cast from everything in the sunlight were getting long so the day was winding down. Charlie is like me as we don’t care for talking on the phone much. We both especially dislike imposing upon our friends and family.
“Will you go get Horseflies chicken finger meal for me?” he sheepishly asked. “I’ve got my hands tied at the moment.”
“Sure,” I told him.
Charlie was showing his house to potential buyers and Horsefly’s routines must go on rain, shine, or snow.
“Get the three piece chicken finger meal with sweet and sour dipping sauce and a double order of mashed potatoes.”
I got Maggie and I each three piece meal as well and soon I was over at Charlie's house with Horsefly's meal before the food could get cold. Charlie tried to slip me a twenty dollar bill, but I wouldn’t have anything to do with it. Charlie has proverbially moved mountains in the past for me. I would do the same for him as well.

And how nice it is that you have the opportunity to repay his kindness and are able to get out and do it, you are good friend to him as well, Andrew!
So sweet.
